-Please submit any nominations for OEA RA to WEA Secretary Charles Cerniglia. Voting will be held during WEA General Assembly on Tuesday, September 22. Nominations in writing are due on Friday, September 18th. Nominations will be taken from the floor.

-Issues with paras at alternative learning sites.

-Hopeful to carry things through smoothly working well with administration on evaluation processes. October 3rd is first ERC meeting. Possibility of staff surveys to inform process.

-WEA Mask project carries out successfully.

-Hopes for increased support during very rough time for teachers and staff.

-Issues at Alternative Learning Site(Grace Bretheran)

-Probably be a busy year with grievances which is fine as it is a part of our contractual process.

-Concerned about furloughs on classified staff(paras) in the case we go fully remote.

-Christina Collins running for State School Board.

-WEA member Allison Theiss running for Ohio House.

-Search for new Executive Director.

-OEA RA will be conducted by Zoom.

-Election is vital…get a plan to vote.

-BOD New strategic priority: Educate and organize OEA and its members to advocate for racial, social and economic justice.

-Happy to back in Wayne County and looking forward to working to help and advocate for the WEA.
