-Campaign season, not much legislation moving, but possibly in lame duck session.

-State Sen. Kearney will introduce legislation to increase school year by 40 days.

-3 grievances transpiring

-2 closely related dealing with transferring drivers and manipulating hours.

-third deals with a van route

-2 grievances: 1 guidance, 1 department chair

-may have a 3rd in the works involving music lady

 

  1. Legislative Update:  Scott S. Miller

 

  1. Evaluation Review Committee:  Tim Gallagher

-Things are quiet, which is a cause of concern.

-Next item is what state is doing with SLOs.

-Scott: Wrote to determine when board will vote to approve Evaluation revisions so that Association can vote on it…has yet to hear back.

 

  1. Labor Relation Consultant (LRC) Report:  LaVonne Lobert-Edmo

-Make sure everybody votes

-Right-To-Work bill in state congress

 

  1. New Business:

-Revising Sunshine policy – who gets flowers, cards, etc…

-Anne Bowles, Laura Heath

-Wooster Area Chamber of Commerce application

-cost of $350

-Inroads to community

-Soup-with-Santa on Saturday December 13, from 11-1 at Edgewood in the Cafeteria
