-Several issues: WCSCC driver(WCSD employee) and spring break,

– bus drivers ok right now

– HS 2^nd and 3^rd shift told they have no calamity days.

-Brad Over(grounds): mandatory overtime and weekends

-LaVonne: not required to work overtime or weekends

-no grievance until retaliation for not working

-Having a hard time getting anything done but working

-Value-Added Scores

-roster verification

-“5 of 8” rule is being eliminated

-Legislation protecting schools from students who “opt-out” passed

-Be careful of social media use

-teachers’ 1^st amendment rights are curtailed due to 2 court cases

-Still time to comment on ESEA reauthorization

 

8. New Business:  Sick Leave Transfer Request

Asking sick leave transfer for carbon monoxide poisoning due to house fire

Lost Professional Development Day

Wants staff input for 2-hour delay for PD day

“Blizzard Bag” ideaà Administration and WEA still uncertain about this

March 4^th or 11^th for PTC release date instead of February 12^th

-End of 3^rd 9 weeks for secondary and end of PTC window for elementary
