-BASAàsupports “5 of 8” rule elimination to increase local control

-WEA staff need to be advocating for our students

-Another possible grievance concerning janitor

-Sherrod Brown discussed ESEA reauthorization

-wants storiesà submit through Anne Bowles

 

  1. Evaluation Review Committee:  Tim Gallagher

-met with new peopleà many questions

 

  1. Labor Relation Consultant (LRC) Report:  LaVonne Lobert-Edmo

-OEA needs to better advocate for themselves

-President’s Day: support will get their pay

-1-5 year teachers are leaving in droves

-Charter Schools asking for more money

-OEA waiting for a teacher to be fired based on test results to take it to court

-OEA is getting prepared to fight Right-To-Work

-STRS petition for candidate endorsed

-Potential bargaining team/leadership retreat
